I'm currently procrastinating from writing my dissertation literature review, so I thought the best thing I could do was make a wishlist of all the things that I'm currently wanting. If anyone has any advice or tips on dissertation stress, literature review writing or the whole process then leave a comment below. :)

I love the simplicity of the necklace and it's really cute, which is an added extra! I feel like it could add a little extra to a basic outfit so I might treat myself to it once I've finished my literature review. 

I also love the simple gold and silver rings above. They can be worn stacked or singly on separate fingers, I think they could also add something to an outfit. I also have quite a big ring collection so I'd love to add these. 

Sticking to the jewellery theme, how cute are these earrings?! They are all single packs from River Island, I love their jewellery as they do some really cheap bits that are really nice. The top ones remind me of Jammy Dodgers (which I love!) and I love turquoise jewellery so I might also have to purchase them.

Next up is this simple skater skirts, I've got a black one of these and I've basically lived in it for the last few weeks when I haven't had gym clothes on. They are so simple to style and can be dressed down for casual days or dressed up for a cinema date or meal out with my boyfriend. I think it would be lovely in this green shade to add a pop of colour to an outfit.

These two beauty items I've heard really good things about. On a daily basis I don't wear foundation, but I try and cover up blemishes and under eye circles that I have so I think a simple BB cream would be a perfect addition to my makeup collection. I've also heard alot of good things about this Dr Jart BB cream. Finally is the La Roche-Possay, I've also heard good things about this lately, especially from Tanya Burr on Youtube. I have quite a few spots on my chin at the moment and they won't seem to clear up so I'm hoping if I get my hands on this it will help solve my skin problems.

I hope you're all ready for the snow that's meant to be coming over the weekend, part of me wants some snow fun, the other half doesn't but lets see what happens! I hope you all have a lovely weekend and have some fun things planned, I think I'm going on a date night with my boyfriend and having my nose stuck in books for my dissertation again wooo!

Review: Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Honey

Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Honey - £7.99

Boots 3 for 2's are very very bad, I purchased this when nearly everything instore was on offer but unfortunately it has finished now (booo!)

I haven't actually tried the Clinique chubby sticks and the price of them puts me off abit but earlier in the year when I saw that they would be released I was quite happy. I remember when they first came out I wanted this shade and they didn't have it so I forgot about them until I was snooping Boots.

I love how they look like giant crayons which makes them really easy to find in a big messy handbag like mine and this makes application really easy. I use the point as a lip liner and outline my lips, then I colour in my lips with the side, they don't require a mirror either so they are incredibly low maintenance which is another plus point.

The shades are highly pigmented and the stain lasts for ages once the original balm has worn off, however they have a minty fragrance to it which doesn't bother me that much.
Honey is a nude-pink with a hint of mauve, this is really easy to wear as its quite close to my natural lip colour which all my lip products seem to be at the moment. I don't think I'm brave enough to wear a bright lip yet.

The only downside is that you have to wind the product all the way up to see how much there is which is abit inconvenient. It would be nice if it showed you some other way.

I think they will be becoming a part of my everyday staples!

Have you tried the Revlon Kissable Balm Stain? What shades would you recommend? I am definately loving lip products at the moment and Revlon are my favourite high-street brand at the moment!

Everyday Skincare Routine

No7 Foaming Cleanser, Garnier Fresh Essentials Refreshing Scrub, Garnier Fresh Essentials Hydrating Day Cream

One of my new years resolutions was to have a proper skincare routine that I would use daily and believe it or not I have stuck to this resolution!

The products I've been using are No7 Foaming Cleanser, Garnier Fresh Essentials Refreshing Scrub and Hydrating Day Cream.
I have normal/ combination skin and I feel that all these three products help to keep my skin feeling clean and they work for me without breaking me out and drying my skin out.
So first of all, I use the No7 Foaming Cleanser to cleanse my face, to use the product you just have to wet your face using warm water, use a couple of pumps and then rub it into the face and then wash it off. It leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed. I then use the Garnier Refreshing Scrub, I don't use this every day maybe 2-3 times a week after I have cleansed, I use one squirt as a little goes a long way and mainly concentrate on my nose, chin and forehead as these are the areas that get greasiest the most but I also use it all over my face. I then dry my face off and use the Garnier Fresh Essentials day cream. This hydrates the skin well and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy and dry later in the day, if anyone has normal to combination skin I'd definately recommend the moisturiser. The moisturiser is also lightweight and it's kinda gel like to use.
Both of the Garnier products contain grape water and vitamin E, this smells so nice and are 'fresh' products for the skin. The No7 cleanser has a scent but it isn't too strong and is really nice smelling.

What is your skincare routine? I really want to try the Liz Earle range as I've heard so much good stuff about them so I'm wanting to make my first purchase. But at the moment this skincare routine is working for me!

Review: Soap & Glory Hand Food

Soap & Glory Hand Food (Boots)

Soap & Glory is one of my all-time favourite brands (a big statement but its so true!) and this is by far the best hand cream I have ever used!

It is so gorgeous smelling, it isn't too heavy and it isn't too light. It's just PERFECT. 

The ingredients in the hand food are; shea butter (rich in Vitamins A, E and F) and marshmallow nourishes and soothes chapped, dry skin while the macadamia oil softens, heals and moisturises the skin.

The other reason I love this product so much is because it is hydrating and it soaks directly into your hands and leaves them feeling silky soft, unlike many hand creams which I feel leave my hands feeling greasy. 

For a 125ml bottle it is £5 and for 50ml it is £2.50 which I think is great as the bottle seems to last for a while and you can never pay too much for a good hand cream. Personally I've only ever bought one bottle when I first found out about the product because I get the christmas sets and they are always in there so I have a nice stash in my bedroom!

There is also a 3 for 2 offer on at Boots at the moment so you can stock up of this and other Soap & Glory favourites.

Review: Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades

Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades (£4.19) Boots/ Superdurg

Yes! I'm back with a haul. I popped into Superdrug today and saw that make-up was on 3 for 2 (mix and match all the brands) so I couldn't just ignore it, I had to go in. There were things I was going to get from Boots so I thought I'd also save myself money.

The first item is the Collection 2000 shimmer shades in way to glow. It is a multi purpose highlighter and bronzer in one compact, with the aim to give a 'subtle glow' to the face. 

There are four individual colours in the palette, a champagne, a rosy pink, a golden bronze and a pinky brown shade. They are all shimmery, soft and easy to blend onto the skin. They are not highly pigmented but this is something I wouldn't want from a highlighter/ bronzer, I'd rather it give a subtle glow like its meant to. They are shimmery with a some glitter but this is fine and not chunky at all which is always good.

The packaging is quite thick and sturdy which is always good if its in a make-up bag as it's less likely to get smashed. The shades are pressed firmly into the pan and they are soft to touch.

I'm quite excited to use the product and might even use the shades on my eyes as I'm sure they'd make a great eyeshadow too. I'll also use it with my Real Techniques Blusher Brush or the Real Techniques contour blush to put the highlight on my cheeks.

The product retails at £4.19 which I think is a great price for a highlighting and bronzing product. I'd really recommend this product, especially for the summer months (if the sun decides to come out). I also have the 'Blushalicious' palette in the Shimmer Shades range which is really nice aswell.

Sunday Summary 007

001. I haven't been around for the last week because I have been having a break from life and just not wanting to be on the internet that much. I was also at my relatives house and didn't want to be spending 99.9% of my time on my computer but I have LOADS of new things to blog about including Maybelline Colour Tattoos and finally Real Techniques brushes. Thanks to Boots 3 for 2. Wish they'd have the offer on all year around!

002. I'm so excited to be reliving my childhood tonight and seeing Steps in concert. I hope its good and I don't want them to ruin any of my childhood memories I have of seeing them. So thats something else to look forward to.

003. 3 more weeks left at university and that'll be me done for the summer, weird the fact that I'll then be a third year and this time next year I'll have finished university nearly. Wow how quick time goes by, I've still got 3 assignments to hand in yet so the stress isn't over.

004. Titanic! Yes a random topic but I can't believe its a 100 years today that it sunk. I can't imagine what it would have been like or anything, think we might spend the night once we've back from the concert watching documentaries on it and perhaps even the film. Deffo love Titanic so much.

005. It's my best friends 21st birthday tomorrow and I still can't decide what to get her :/ I've got her a One Direction card which she'll love, I just don't no what present to get her.

Review: Bourjois Eyeshadow Review

Little Pot Eyeshadow (£6.99) Boots

I took advantage of the Boots 3 for 2 offer on make-up the other day and decided to give all you little lovelies a review of the little things I bought.
The first is a Bourjois eyeshadow, its a mineral pigment eyeshadow and the shade is number 5. I 
think its the shade rose dragree.

When looking at the packaging, I don't think Boujois can go wrong with their little round pots. They're the perfect size for make-up bags and handbags, plus they look cute displayed on dressing tables. The little button and magnet also make them ideal for carrying around, because they're less likely to spill and the little mirror inside is handy for looks on the go.

These little round pots consist of a rich powder formular comprised of 87% mineral pigments to ensure great coverage and great depth. The formula is smooth which makes them really blendable and its great for illuminating and highlighting, aswell as looking pretty as a base/ main colour.

I am in love with this eyeshadow, I didn't think it would be possible but yes it is ladies. It's such a pretty colour! I can't stop looking at it.

I love shimmery eyeshadows and wanted to build my collection of natural yet shimmery eyeshadows, that can be worn both in the daytime and in the evening.
I also thought that it would be great as a highlight on the brow bone and on the cheeks because of the light texture of the shadow.

There is also 0% fall out when I put it on my eyelid and when I was applying it to the brush, which is always good as thats something that annoys me about some cheaper eyeshadows as half of it ends up down your face somewhere.

What do you think of the colour? Can you recommend any other Bourjois products? I'm wanting a little pot blush next :)

Soap & Glory's 'A Great Kisser'

This is the latest product to be launched by Soap & Glory in their new cosmetics line, this is the luscious lip-balm called 'A Great Kisser'.

Personally I am a huge fan of the Soap & Glory lines, I love the quirky packaging and the names of the products they just stand out and are so different from most of the cosmetics which are around. 

Some of my favourites products from Soap & Glory include the 'Kick Ass' Concealer - such a great concealer, The Righteous Body Butter - one of the best body moisturisers around and Clean on Me shower gel - I love the scent of it.

The lip-balms claim to contain mango butter to moisturise, apricot butter for weather protection, lingoberry oil to boost barrier repair (and prevent water loss) and pomegranate extract to renew your 'dewy'. What more could you ask for from a lip-balm?

They are some in three different flavours:

Juicy Peach (a gorgeous coral)

Sweet Coconut (clear with a hint of shimmer)

Chocolate Cherry (a sheer, popsicle pink)

The lip-balms are now available in all larger Boots stores. I'm definately wanting to pick one, maybe two or all three of these lip-balms :) 

At the moment I'm suffering from dry lips, so this may help unless anyone else can recommend any other products as Vaseline doesn't seen to be working that well for me this time.

Tangle Teezer

Tangle Teezer - (Boots) £10.50

Everytime I've walked into my local Boots store I've always been attracted to the Tangle Teezers. I only have short hair so some of you might think 'oh she doesn't have knotty hair and doesn't need one of these.' Wrong. I unfortunately suffer from quite knotty hair especially once its wet and its horrible to try and brush through.
So I thought I would get one of these and use my Boots advantage card points and take advantage of this. I opted for the purple glittery one as I thought it was pretty and didn't really feel attracted to the bright pink one even though I loved them both. (If it was pink and glittery it would have been even more perfect).

The claims:
It is a hair brush like no other, with its uniques flexible teeth configuration, lack of handle and hand-friendly shaped head. The Tangle Teezer gives you the opportunity to apply pressure to your hair as you wish, removing pain and the creation of damaged cuticles cause by dragging bristles through unyielding, un co-operative knots. Through regular use, the product claims to return hair to its natural shine, thickness and body.

So what did I think of the Tangle Teezer.. I first used it after the gym and noticed the different straight away, it fitted into my palm nicely and fitted well, however it felt a little painful as I put it through my hair. Even a few days later its not pain free, so I'm unsure whether it is just my hair or other people have had this aswell. I'm impressed however but the softness of my hair and ease of getting the knots out in comparison to using a traditional hairbrush. I'm still a little unsure of what I think about the product and I'm sure that as I use it over the coming days/ weeks that I should notice a difference, hopefully the pain will ease and as my hair gets longer it will become one of my favourite products.

Review: No7 Beautiful Skin Foaming Cleanser

 No7 Beautiful Skin Foaming Cleanser - (Boots) £9.00

This is one of the purchases I made yesterday from Boots, it's the No7 Beautiful Skin Foaming Cleanser.

I bought this product because my skin is normal and I suffer from an oily nose, forehead and skin at times so wanted something to try and help return my skin back to 'normal'. I also had a £5 off voucher and wanted to spend it on something that wasn't makeup. I hate how my face feels after I'd had a face full of makeup all day and wanted to try and have a cleansing and moisturising routine.

I used it last night and this morning so thought I would give you all my initial thoughts on the product. I wet my face using warm water as instructed on the bottle and then put 2-3 pumps of the product into the palm of my hands and massaged it onto my face, I left it a couple of minutes instead of washing it off straight away. I again rinsed my face with warm water and instantly my skin felt softer and smoother. It also smells really nice but isn't fragranced enough for it to irritate by skin which doesn't happen with many products other than the Simple products.

On the bottle it says 'created to help your oily skin behave like normal skin and provide tailored skin nutrition for healthy looking, bright and beautiful skin'. I believe this is what the product does even from two uses. I'm going to look into other No7 products especially at the moment as they are on offer 3 for 2 across makeup and skincare. I really like the product and would recommend it to those with normal/ oily skin. They also have a range for normal to dry skin and dry to very dry skin for those with different skin types.
