Review: Real Techniques Setting Brush

Real Techniques Setting Brush - £6.99

Real Techniques are definately my favourite brushes as they are affordable, really soft and amazing quality. I have numerous other brushes written down on my christmas list, so hopefully Santa will pay attention and listen.

I know a lot of makeup artists prefer to use a tiny brush for powder and I didn't understand why until I tried this brush. I don't use powder alot on my face as I find it goes cakey, so I've been using this for concealer underneath my eyes, on my chin and around my nose.

The brush head is just the right size for application of concealer. But I've always been using it to apply cream and powder highlighters as it is again the right size and application is made easier I feel.

One of the great things about Real Techniques brushes is that they are so versatile and can be used for a range of products in your make-up bag which again makes them great value for money!

I hope Sam Chapman brings out a few more Real Techniques brushes as they are my favourites by far, they're also so easy to clean and the same quality once washed.

Current Favourites

Well this is a kinda monthly favorites/ current favourites as a few of them I haven't been using for a month.
My favourites for this month are; Sleek 'Life's a Peach' blusher, Collection 2000 shimmer shades, Maybelline Colour Tattoo 'On and On Bronze', Collection 2000 sheer loose powder, Garnier Roll-on concealer, Real Techniques contour brush, buffing brush (from the Core Collection) and the blush brush.
The Sleek blusher is one of my most recent purchases and it looks kinda bright in the pan but when its put on your cheek its such a soft colour and looks lovely on the skin. It's also a nice colour for the summer because I prefer more natural make-up or non at all in the summer months. I'd definately recommend this blusher to anyone. I've been using this with the Real Techniques  blush brush, I love this brush! It is so so so soft and puts the right amount on the cheek without it looking too cakey and like you've applied too much blusher.
The Collection 2000 shimmer shades palette I've been using for a highlight lately, it is such a pretty palette and swirling the brush around the whole palette gives your face a nice glow and I've been using the contour brush from Real Techniques as its just the right size and is great. 
Next is the Real Techniques buffing brush again I love this brush so much, its not just a current favourite it might be an ALL TIME favourite! It blends the Garnier Concealer in nicely, I've been liking this abit more this month because it doesn't feel as cakey as the Collection 2000 concealer does at times and gives nice coverage under the eyes too. I've also used it for the Collection 2000 powder, I've been using this as a 'foundation' just to have some kind of coverage on my face as I don't always wear liquid foundation only for nights out really. But the powder is so soft and feels really nice when your put it on your skin. 
Last but not least the Maybelline colour tattoo in 'on and on bronze', it lasts for most of the day when I've worn it and the colour is lovely. It can be blended out to make it look more natural but it can be built up and worn for a more smokey eye.
Other favourites of mine right now which aren't make-up related are; the single We are Young -
Fun. feat. Janelle Monáe. I absolutely love this song right now, think its the soundtrack to the summer for me, also their album I have downloaded and that is great too! Call My Name - Cheryl (Cole), another feel good summer song, it makes me want to dance about and its just so good. Another favourite right now is ASOS, I'm in love with the website and bought 4 dresses the other day which I'm currently waiting to be delivered. I'm also loving Made in Chelsea, yes I shouldn't but I do. I've always hated it and then I saw everyone talking about it on Twitter, watched it and now I'm obsessed (oh dear)!

Sunday Summary 007

001. I haven't been around for the last week because I have been having a break from life and just not wanting to be on the internet that much. I was also at my relatives house and didn't want to be spending 99.9% of my time on my computer but I have LOADS of new things to blog about including Maybelline Colour Tattoos and finally Real Techniques brushes. Thanks to Boots 3 for 2. Wish they'd have the offer on all year around!

002. I'm so excited to be reliving my childhood tonight and seeing Steps in concert. I hope its good and I don't want them to ruin any of my childhood memories I have of seeing them. So thats something else to look forward to.

003. 3 more weeks left at university and that'll be me done for the summer, weird the fact that I'll then be a third year and this time next year I'll have finished university nearly. Wow how quick time goes by, I've still got 3 assignments to hand in yet so the stress isn't over.

004. Titanic! Yes a random topic but I can't believe its a 100 years today that it sunk. I can't imagine what it would have been like or anything, think we might spend the night once we've back from the concert watching documentaries on it and perhaps even the film. Deffo love Titanic so much.

005. It's my best friends 21st birthday tomorrow and I still can't decide what to get her :/ I've got her a One Direction card which she'll love, I just don't no what present to get her.

I hope you've all had a lovely Easter weekend and enjoyed the time off and how strange is the weather being lately. :/ wish it would be sunny and warm!
