001. Peplum tops are everywhere right now and they are so versatile for daytime and for evening wear. I'd take black over white anyday as I'm a messy person and gold jewellery looks prettier with black clothing (in my personal opinion anyway). This one is from Topshop and I think I'm going to have to pick it up soon.

002. I have an obsession with bags... and studs. This bag is the perfect size and just a pretty bag, I saw it in H&M the other day and was drawn towards it, the only thing which puts me off is the £29.99 price tag. I wasn't sure about the quality and for an extra £10 could probably get a nicer made and better quality bag from Zara.

003. I love this necklace from Topshop so much. I always find that with necklaces I like to buy them so they go with any item of clothing and could be worn more than one and I think this is perfect. I just need to pop into Topshop now and pick it up.

004. Another simple t-shirt from Topshop, I always think with an item like this they can be easily thrown on with jeans and hoody for daytime or dressed up and a blazer for the evening instead. Mint is also one of my favourite colours so this gets a thumbs up from me.

I always think that blogging about these items will make me want them less but I'm wrong. I want them so much more! Which is your favourite item above? Whats on your wishlist this weekend?

Blogging Changes.

Hello all you lovely blog readers! I'm back. After a hectic and not so fun-filled summer... yet! I've had a summer of saving and working my little socks off to make sure I have the best holiday possible in Florida. However I've been feeling kinda blue and pessimistic through the summer and I've decided to try and use my blog as a pick-me-up and focus. I seem to have the ability to say 'no' to things which I would enjoy so much so I've decided to do something about it - I'm going into my last year at university, I want to make new friends that I'll stay in contact with for the rest of my life and do things that I'll remember for a long time. I've joined RAG and I'm part of the committee; for marketing and communications which is perfect for my degree and some of the things that we have planned for throughout the university year excites me alot. It's going to give me alot of opportunities which I might not have been given if I hadn't just applied one day when I was feeling down after being rejected for a job. I'm quite a loner really and like to have a few friends and my boyfriend but I'm gong to by 21 and I finish university, things need to change. 

I'm also quite bored of my blog right now and I'm lacking alot of inspiration to post anything so thats what made me want to change things up a little bit.

So, a new direction for 'kaleidojo', my little bloggy place. I'm going to enjoy the ride and bring you lovely ones along with me. Blogging about beauty, frugality, life in general and any bloggers essential summary on a Sunday.

Here's to a fresh start and a new year of opportunities. Is there anything you'd like to see me blog about? What do you do when you feel like you have nothing to blog about?

p.s. I hope your all enjoying the Olympics, no matter which country your from. Last night (27/07/12) I sat and watched the Opening Ceremony and it made me feel so patriotic and I loved every minute of it. I was very much proud to be British and from Sheffield (when Arctic Monkeys performed). The weather is also great at the moment which gets a big thumbs up from me. I'm supporting GB (obviously) and USA!

Life: Update.

Life right now is a little bit hectic, I have so much going on and I thought these holidays I was just going to be relaxing and pretty bored but I haven't been. Since I last blogged alot has happened especially since my last update.

001. First of all I want to say a BIG thank you I've reached 40 GFC followers, I know it takes time to gain followers but this actually means alot to me. I probably don't deserve it after not posting for a few weeks but I'm going to try and get things up and running again as I enjoy it so much.

002. It's literally 4 weeks until I go to Florida now! How scary. We've got the itinerary planned for what we're doing each day and all the essentials other than mini travel bottles which I can't seem to find anywhere. I've got most of my spending money and keep seeing so much I want to buy but I really want to try and save my money. If anyone has any recommendations on places to visit or eat then please comment and leave them below.

003. I've been using contact lenses as a trial in the run up to my holiday aswell just to make day-to-day living easier and stuff. It's weird after wearing glasses for the last 10 years and when I don't have my glasses on I sometimes feel all like woah whos that infront of the mirror.

004. I purchased a Kindle this weekend as a little gift to myself and for my holiday, I want to save for an iPad I think and I might get one in Florida as they are more in dollars but obviously aren't in pounds or I might save and get one in England when I'm home.

Review: L'Oréal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara

L'Oréal Telescopic Mascara (Boots/ Superdrug) £10.99

I recently got this mascara from Boots as L'Oréal items were on offer buy one, get one 1/2 price which is always a good deal. I'd also heard alot about the mascara so thought it was time to try it out and give my opinion on it. I picked up the waterproof version as I thought if I liked it, it could come along with me to Florida and it would be great to wear being waterproof.

I'm such a mascara junkie and have so many in my collection all of which are drugstore and I've never tried any high-end mascaras but I'd love to try the YSL one.

The brush of the mascara is really thin and small which makes it really good for applying to the lashes and it allows for there to be no smudging which I find happens with some mascara brushes that are larger.

It is really waterproof and tough to get off the lashes even with my No7 eye makeup remover but I don't really want to be scrubbing my eyes really hard to make sure that I get all the mascara off. I might try the non-waterproof version to see if this is the same.

However the only problem that I found was that it left my lashes a little bit clumpy, I'm not sure why but I used a lash comb and they seemed to disappear. But this isn't something that I'd really want from a mascara.

Overall I really love how my lashes look and the mascara in general, one of my favourite things is the brush because of the thin brush and the ease that it brings to applying the mascara. I think its definately one of my favourite drugstore mascaras that I have tried.
